An Introduction to Non-surgical Facelifts/Pan G
The Pan G is a non-surgical alternative to formal surgical facelift
procedures. As the human face ages, it suffers from a loss of
fat and a senile myopathy and loss of skeletal muscle mass, strength
and resting tone. The Pan G is a coordinated series of 20 treatments
over 10 weeks, with the vehicle for the vertical soft-tissue repositioning
being the deep musculo-facial layer.

What is a Non-surgical Facelift and How Does
It Work?
The Pan G is a patented, non-surgical and noninvasive series
of office-based treatments offering many of the effects and benefits
of a surgical facelift. The Pan G Lift uses electrical stimulation
to exercise, strengthen, and tone lax and weakened muscles of
the face. The tightened muscles then lift the facial structures
back toward their original, youthful contours. Your skin becomes
tighter, more beautiful and younger-looking almost instantly.
During the series of Pan-G treatments you can receive BOTOX® where
necessary to produce desired results. Relatively inexpensive,
non-surgical facelifts offer you the greatest facial rejuvenation
possible without surgery.

How Long Do Non-surgical Facelifts Take?
Each non-surgical facelift or Pan G treatment lasts less than
one hour. Patients can usually return to normal activities immediately
following their treatment. Patients must be willing to commit
to approximately 20 treatments over a 10 week period to gain maximum
results.

How is the Procedure Performed Exactly?
Pan G non-surgical facelifts require a series of office-based
treatments. Treatment involves the application of RadioFrequency
energy, high voltage galvanic electrical current, high frequency
ultrasound and dermatophoresis to produce the effects of a facelift.
The newly strengthened muscles help elevate the brow, cheeks,
and neck, producing a healthy glow and a younger-looking appearance.
The non-surgical facelift treatment program at Refine Medical
Spa includes BOTOX® applications to relax hyperactive muscles that
cause us to look older and more tense. Patients experiencing droopiness
of the brow, cheeks, jowls and neck can obtain a similar improvement
to surgical facelifts with no down time.
The superficial skin (epidermis), the deep skin (dermis) and
the muscles are all rejuvenated in the process of the Pan G treatment.
As we age, generally the superficial skin becomes thin, sallow
and textured. During the non-surgical facelift, ultrasonic energy
is used to remove the dead cell layer of the epidermis to smooth
the surface. Also as we age, we lose valuable collagen in the
dermis, which thins the skin and actually makes wrinkles. During
our treatments, ultrasound and electrical impulses are utilized
in such a way to increase the amount of collagen in the skin,
diminishing pore size, reducing discoloration of the skin, eliminating
spider veins and smoothing out wrinkles. Injectable fillers are
also used to aid in the reduction of wrinkles, lines, furrows
and other irregularities. With attractive results, the Pan G non-surgical
facelift is an effective way to reduce the signs of aging.

Are There Any Side Effects?
The electrical stimulation caused by the application of the high
voltage electrical current, radiofrequency energy and high frequency
ultrasound causes the facial muscles to contract and tighten during
treatment. This results in strange sensations at first, but discomfort
levels are considered fairly mild. Some patients experience some
redness to the treatment areas, but no other side effects result.

Is a Non-surgical Facelift Right For Me?
Results from a non-surgical facelift are more gradual than a
surgical facelift, due to the series of treatments over a period
of time. The gradual improvement is often desired by many who
are not looking to drastically change their appearance quickly.
Non-surgical facelifts gradually show increased health, vigor
and attractiveness.
Pan G non-surgical facelifts are geared towards women of all
ages. For those aged 20 to 35 who are too young for surgery but
want to achieve the effects of a surgical facelift, their non-surgical
facelift can be a preventative measure to combat the signs of
early aging (brow drooping, cheek drooping and neck drooping).
For people aged 35 to 50 who are experiencing moderate facial
aging but do not want to undergo surgery, a non-surgical facelift
can be beneficial and reverse some of the signs of aging. For
patients 50 to 65 who experience visual facial aging, but do not
want a surgical procedure, a non-surgical facelift will offer
them the greatest degree of facial rejuvenation possible without
surgery.
Non-surgical facelifts can also be beneficial to those who have
undergone plastic surgery previously. Non-surgical facelifts can
help you maintain the effects of your your previous cosmetic surgery.
Patients not considered to be candidates for this procedure include
those with a pacemaker or cataracts. Another unlikely candidate
is one with unrealistic expectations of the treatment.

When Will I See the Effects of the Non-surgical
Facelift?
Patients can expect to achieve a 4 to 8 mm elevation in their
brow region and upper eyelid area. Cheeks, midface and lower lids
generally tighten by up to 40%, whereas the jowls and neck tighten
by up to 30%. The improvement is gradual while you are going through
your series of 20 treatments. This type of dramatic difference
is not seen overnight, but a tightening of the skin will be apparent
after your first treatment. The majority of patients who have
undergone the treatments tend to look approximately 5 to 7 years
younger in age.

Is the Effect of Non-surgical Facelifts Permanent?
Once the patient has completed the required 20 treatments over
the course of a few months, it is recommended that the patient
return for an office visit once every 4 to 6 weeks in an effort
to maintain the effects. Results will vary from person to person
incumbent upon their age, skin elasticity, exposure to UV rays,
etc.
